Perhaps you noticed the Gene Wilder quote at the bottom of last week’s handout. He has always been one of my favorite actors. Shortly after his death a few weeks ago we watched the 1971 classic, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. WHAT’S IN THE BOX?   Methow Red sourdough boule (Methow Red wheat,Espresso Red wheat) This week’s bread features a hard red wheat grown in the Methow Valley by Bluebird Grain Farms. This week we are tinkering with our recipe to deliver a better bread experience—we hope. WHAT’S IN THE BOX? Rye porridge boule (Dark northern rye, stone ground wheat flour) Last week we featured our emmer and rye pan loaf. Here’s another rye bread—this one is also quite popular. WHAT’S IN THE BOX? Emmer & Rye Sourdough pan loaf (Espresso Red wheat, rye, emmer farro) This week we’re featuring one of our most popular loaves of bread. It’s a loaf baked in a pan and features rye flakes, cracked emmer farro, and Espresso Red wheat grown especially for Fairhaven Flour Mill and custom-milled for us.
